Stay connected to yourself
The goal of yoga is to stop being distracted by the mind and to stop needing approval or recognition from anyone else. All fears and doubts come from the mind. If we allow our minds to relax and begin our journey inwards, to our true self, we will find everything we need within us - love, appreciation, happiness. “Everyone is focused on the outside, seeking or clinging to pleasure, status, and fame,” says Larisa Hall Carlson, an Ayurvedic practitioner and mindfulness teacher. "None of this brings lasting satisfaction or contentment." We can only truly feel secure, purposeful, and joyful when we are connected to ourselves and when we are not attached to anything external.
